Background
- phpc.social has been around since 2018 (set up by @ramsey)
- Wasn't busy, and was hosted on masto.host for years
- Then Twitter kinda did this and Mastodon started getting lots of users
- Users, traffic, and costs scaled up, so masto.host stopped being a good choice
- I volunteered to admin, with Hunter Skrasek and I tag-teaming on setup
- Cutover to our "own" infra happened the morning Nov 21

- Split streaming, ElasticSearch, LibreTranslate to new VPS
- Move ingress + Puma to new VPS, leaving Sidekiq on current VPS
- Infrastructure as code, pretty dashboards, etc.
- Steal good ideas from #MastoAdmin
